“You are the light of the world.”

— Matthew 5:14 (NIV)

Shine Bright

You don’t have to have it all together to shine. Jesus spoke these words to ordinary people, reminding them that their light—their presence, their love, their faith—matters deeply in a dark world.

Like a lighthouse standing tall on the shore, your light may not always feel big or bold—but it can still lead others to safety, peace, and hope. A lighthouse doesn’t chase the ships; it simply stands firm and shines. You can do the same.

We often overlook the impact of a kind word, a quiet prayer, or simply choosing joy in hard moments. But even the smallest light can break through darkness. Your steady glow might be the very thing someone else needs to find their way.

You were made to shine—not perfectly, not all at once, but faithfully, like a lighthouse in the storm. So today, shine with love. Let your life reflect the light of God—guiding others with quiet strength, one moment at a time.

A Prayer to Shine
Lord,
When I feel small or unsure, remind me that You called me light.
Help me shine in the little moments—with a smile, a kind word, or quiet faith.
Let my life reflect Your love to those around me.
Use even the smallest spark in me to bring hope to others.
Amen.
